The SCOV Technology Club’s general membership meeting is Monday, January 13, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the Auditorium in the Activity Center. PLEASE NOTE: This Week in Sun City Oro Valley incorrectly stated that it was at the Tech Lab in the Welcome Center. This program is free and open to all SCOV residents.

The program features Gayle Warren, along with K9 Zona from the Tucson Police Department Crime Lab. It will include demonstrations from Zona, showing her ability to detect electronic storage devices, along with a presentation from Gayle on cases that Zona has been involved in and helped solve.

Zona is an English Labrador who is an electronic storage device (ESD) detection K9. She is the first ESD detection K9 in Arizona and is assigned to TPD’s Crime Lab. K9 Zona is sponsored by Operation Underground Railroad (OUR). OUR’s mission is to protect children from trafficking and exploitation. Zona was trained by the Jordan Detection K9 School in Indiana.
