Description
Goals: Build basic AI literacy and reduce anxiety.
Topics:
– What “Artificial Intelligence” and “generative AI” mean in plain language, with familiar examples like voice assistants and recommendation systems.
– Where members already meet AI (search engines, spam filters, captioning, GPS).
– Benefits vs. risks for older adults: convenience, access to information, but also misinformation, bias, scams, and over‑trust.
– Basic vocabulary: chatbot, prompt, model, training data, hallucination, privacy.
Activity: In small groups, learners list AI they already use and share a “good” and “worrying” example.
