Description
Goals: Use AI as a “coach,” not a doctor or legal advisor.
Topics:
– Using AI to summarize medical instructions, lab reports, or benefit explanations into plain language, while emphasizing that treatment decisions must go through clinicians.
– Medication reminders, appointments, and daily routines using AI‑enabled calendars and reminder apps.
– Tracking health trends: logging symptoms or activity and asking AI to help spot patterns to discuss with providers.
– Understanding privacy and data sharing in health apps; how to turn off unnecessary data collection when possible.
Activity: Learners bring a de‑identified health or insurance document; in class they ask the AI to explain it in simple language and generate questions to ask their provider.
